Flying Stars, Suixing and Posuixing
bentleystudio asks:
Question
Here’s a general Flying Star question. If ones front door has an Earth Base star (3-wood, for instance) that is destructive to the occupant’s personal Element (8-earth, for instance), would you try to remedy that to the exclusion of other Flying Star combinations in this location? How important is this combination (Earth Base conficting with Personal Element in either the front door or a room one spends lots of time in)?
Unrelated to the above question, but what is your take on the yearly directions: Grand Duke Jupiter, Three Killings and Year Breaker? Are they for real?
thanks a lot!
Answer
Great questions!
Mountain and water stars generally take precedence over the base star (the base star reflects the current 20-year period). The base star indicates the “initial conditions” of a structure.
Mountain and water stars explain how the initial conditions affect the structure over time. For example, a house built with Bullfight Sha is going to affect anyone who lives there, not just a particular birth element (ming gua).
In some circumstances it might affect one person in a particular way, but those conditions are determined by gender, age, and position in the household — not on their birth element.
Birth elements are useful in a few circumstances, but you cannot hope to understand a structure without analyzing the interactions of mountain and water stars. Therefore, ignore your birth element in this situation and spend your time understanding the number combination related to your front door.
The history of the Grand Duke is very interesting. Tell me what you think!
